Notes:
Previously unreleased mono mix of Deep Purple Mark 1’s second LP on black vinyl (unlike this one on white – [r=6909018])
Both mono and stereo tapes of ‘The Book Of Taliesyn’ were mixed, but since the band had moved from Parlophone to Harvest in the UK and they didn’t release monos at that time the mono tapes weren’t used.
Gatefold laminated sleeve. Back cover notes do not say anything about a remix or remake other than it was digitally remastered and that the rights to the tapes are owned by Parlophone Records Ltd.
The original album was recorded at De Lane Lea Studios, London in August and October 1968 and it was remastered at Abbey Road Studios, London in 2000.
Note on the back of the sleeve:

Fantastic place to visit. We live in Ft. Madison, Iowa. Our daughter and her boyfriend live in Longmont Colorado. When we visit our daughter, it’s always a must to stop in at the store. The people are super friendly and the records are top-notch. It is an absolute priority that I stop in the store when we visit our daughter. Always a great selection of records.
We were in the area on vacation and stopped in. When I first opened the door I knew this place was special. Recycled has one of the best selections of jazz and blues that I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been all over Chicago’s record stores. The prices may be a little high, but good luck finding the same item in better condition. Everything I pulled was in pristine condition and worth the asking price. I found some jazz and rock albums that I’ve been searching for, for YEARS. At checkout, they tossed in a free album by a local artist, which was a nice touch.
Always been huge into music and recently was forced into loving (and rediscovered my new love) for CD media. They have THE LARGEST used CD collection at great prices. I should have gone in sooner but I was always too meek, of course wondering if it was a niche place I would feel out of place in. But I felt very welcomed and the woman at the shop showed me ALL the uses CDs they have. I had to limit my spending today but will be back in another two weeks easily to round up and purchase another selection of CDs.
Wonderful experience: oodles of LPs(especially jazz); knowledgeable staff; enough space for parking. 5 of 5 in Longmont!
I love Recycled Records! They have a fantastic selection, and all of the used records are of great quality. I've been very happy with every purchase. The staff are also incredibly helpful in helping me find certain records or artists.
We started in 2010 as collectors that wanted find and rescue records from basements, attics, closets and garages. Now our main focus is to get records back into the hands of those who need them.
